IHL — Ida Hokiliiga privacy policy. Effective from 18.10.2026.

MTÜ Ida Hokiliiga (non-profit association), registry code 80672995, Narva, Estonia — organiser of the IHL amateur ice hockey league and owner of hokiliiga.ee. Data questions: info@hokiliiga.ee.

What we process and why

• Team applications and rosters: the representative's name, email and phone; players' names, dates of birth, numbers, positions and categories. Needed to run the championship (participation agreement) and to check the age rules of the regulations. Minors play only with their parents' consent and the committee's permission. • Sports information on the site: player name, number, team, statistics, game sheets and lineups, awards. Published on the legitimate interest of the league and fans in sports results. Minors' years of birth are not published. • Photos and videos from games and events: published in galleries, on game pages and in the league's channels (legitimate interest; the team's consent in the application). If you do not want your photo on the site, write to us and we will remove it. • Shop: name, email, phone, delivery address, order and payment method — to fulfil the order and for accounting. Card details are entered on Stripe's page; we neither see nor store them. • Supporting the league: the amount and, only if you entered them yourself, a public name and idea for the thank-you list. • Admin and portal accounts: name, email, role, sign-in log (time, IP address, browser) — for security. • Visit statistics: page address, referring site (domain only), device type, language and an anonymous identifier that changes every day. IP addresses are not stored, no cookies are used for statistics, and Do Not Track is respected. Organiser alerts about new visitors (the organisers' private Telegram group) show an approximate country and city (looked up on our server with the DB-IP database), the IP address and the pages opened that day. The IP address is kept for this alert only until the end of the day. • Newsletter: email address, language and time of confirmation — only after you confirm via the link in our email. Unsubscribe from any email with one click; no further emails are sent after that. • Telegram bot: if you follow a team, we keep the chat ID and language to send game reminders. Unsubscribe with /stop.

Cookies and similar technologies

Necessary: site language, your cookie choice and the shop cart (kept in your browser). Analytics (Google Analytics) and marketing (Meta Pixel, Google AdSense ads) are switched on only after your consent in the cookie window; you can change it any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the site. YouTube videos load from youtube-nocookie.com only when you press play.

Recipients

• Hostinger (hosting of the site, database and email, EU). • Stripe (card payments; Stripe may process data in the USA under the EU standard contractual clauses). • Telegram (notifications to followers and organisers). • Google and Meta — only with your consent to the respective cookies. • Public authorities — only where the law requires it. Data is not sold or used for advertising without consent.

Retention

• Applications and rosters — until the end of the season and 3 years after; results, statistics and game sheets are kept as the league's history. • Orders and invoices — 7 years (Accounting Act). • Visit statistics — 13 months; sign-in log — 12 months; database backups — 30 days. • Telegram subscription — until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You may request a copy of your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict processing, object to publication (including photos), receive your data in a machine-readable form and withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@hokiliiga.ee — we reply within one month. If you believe your rights have been violated, you may contact the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee, info@aki.ee).

Security

The site works over HTTPS only, data is accessible only to organisers and to representatives of their own team according to their roles, two-factor sign-in is available for the admin, and backups are kept separately from the site.

Changes to this policy are published on this page with a new date.
